Marcher Sound

Marcher Sound Started in the 80’s as the ILR station for North East Wales and Cheshire

In the 90’s the AM frequency was used for Marcher Gold while the FM service became MFM

Later the FM frequencies would split into 2 services, 103.4 for Chester, Wexham and North Wales, and 97.1 for The Wirral (the transmitter site for 97.1 was moved from Moel-y-Parc in North Wales to Storeton on the Wirral)

Buzz 97.1 was the name given when  MFM relaunched their Wirral service, splitting it from the main MFM service
